— We initially built the Financial Messaging System (SPFS) in such a way that it could process 100% of messages within the country. However, at first it was considered as an alternative channel for those who want to reduce costs, because compared to SWIFT, the tariffs in SPFS are 1.5–2 times lower. At the beginning of the year, about 27% of domestic Russian financial message traffic was accounted for by SPFS. Now we are seeing active growth.
Quite competitive indicators given the working SWIFT
— Approximately the same figures were last year. Moreover, all participants connected to the system (389 companies and banks) passed testing, but did not actively use it. After February 24, the situation changed.
January-May of this year, the number of financial
messages passing through the system increased by one and a half times compared to the same period in 2021. The industry realized that it has an accessible overlooking user experience (ux) and convenient channel that solves its problems. The flows were redirected. In 2022, 64 new participants appeared in the system, in total, SPFS is used in 12 countries.
