Sometimes you might not want Google to see your WordPress internet pages? Then the search engines must be prevented from indexing them! But how is it done?
Currently, there are two ways to hide WordPress pages from Google or other search engines. The easiest way is to do it with a plug-in (program extension) called Yoast SEO . The slightly more advanced way is to edit the code of the website or the header of the website.
Note that it has long been common to block websites by editing a file called “robot.txt”. This practice has recently been discontinued, mostly because Google itself has come out and said that the robot.txt file should not be used to block websites.
Prevent indexing of your WP pages by Google with two methods!
Hello! BruSEO Read here! Tool selection is as important on the Internet as it is in the One-Inch Punch business. I didn’t become a SEO master by training with the wrong tools. Yoast guides you on the right path when BruSEO is busy hammering lessons into the heads of everyone who throws themselves into the Internet battle looking for attention.
Yoast is useful because it helps anyone using WordPress to add useful meta information, SEO title and more. Only those who follow the Google Sheriff’s guidelines are able to come up high in Google searches, or SERP as we say in the professional language.
Follow along when BruSEO talks! Now it gets technical in two paragraphs: Yoast SEO helps you adjust your website for good SEO, including preventing indexing of WP pages. With Yoast SEO installed, every website gets “advanced settings”. There you can go in and find a drop-down menu called “Meta robots follow”. In this menu, select “noindex”, and then click the nofollow button. We’ll have an Illustration before the commercial break…
Methods of hiding web pages from search engines
Everyone has their negative sides. The smart ones hide them from the outside world.
Specialized databases can be divided into special database different types NoSQL database Graph database Time series database Geospatial database | These databases are more specialized and able to meet specific needs than general databases. It helps to store, manage and analyze data in various fields. Information in these databases is transmitted through nodes and edges. is organized.
The second and more advanced way to hide a website from Google is to use something called “Robots meta tags”. That is, you enter the html code of the website (possibly the http code of the header) you want to block, and insert a line of code that tells Google to ignore the page. The most common line of code to block the page is the following:
<meta name=”robots” content=”noindex” />
Here is a schematic representation for those of you who like to get the hang of it quickly:
Why prevent indexing by search engines?
Why is it desirable to block own websites for Google? It’s a bit like asking why there are fences around construction sites. Sometimes you have content that is under construction, or that requires regular updating. Large companies often have many landing pages, which are built on templates, and therefore everything looks too similar in Google’s eyes. These are pages that can be interpreted incorrectly if they are not seen in the right context. Then it is better to hide them from Google, so that you are not ranked down unnecessarily.
Learn from the experience of good old BruSEO Lee! No one took me seriously until I directed attention away from my delicious overalls and up to my fists of steel. As soon as people saw the power behind One-Inch Punch, no one judged BruSEO. But I would probably have reached the top faster if I had hidden that side of myself at the start. Hide your pages that can be misinterpreted! Don’t stick sticks in the wheels of your own online business!
Table: What is a good conversion rate (CRO)?
CRO stands for Conversion Rate Optimization, but what does it really mean? Put simply, we can say that it is “the art of digital persuasion”. The conversion rate (CR) tells you what proportion of the visitors to your website actually click where you want. The optimization (O) aims to increase this rate.
Hello! BruSEO Read here! In Norwegian, CRO is called “conversion optimization”. I have never seen the likes of twisted words. At least it doesn’t impress readers as much as a good one-inch punch. If you want to engage people to click, you have to strike quickly with your best arguments and slogans.
For that reason, I choose to think of “conversion optimization” as “result assurance”, but just call it CRO. The point of CRO is to increase the number of visitors to your website who take the action you want.
I pound in my one-inch punches so you lose your breath when you least expect it. My goal is to make you fight back without a second thought. I provoke, you click at an angle, and suddenly you have bought a pair of boxing gloves from my online store ;p
Let’s say I have an online store that sells martial arts equipment. I have 1000 visitors, but only 20 of them make a purchase. Then the online store has a conversion rate of 2%. This gives me a very concrete goal to work towards: Increase the percentage value, and get more profit from existing page visits.
How to use CRO to your advantage?
Many marketers call this kind the strength of the rod usually refers to the level of profit assurance working with the sales funnel , or “sales funnel” as it is called in English. Imagine the funnel we use to mix up the power feed that gives you the energy to fight all opposition in the online sales ring. In the same way that you direct ingredients towards a small target, you direct customers on the Internet towards a small button on your website.
CRO goes via many steps, down the funnel, where it gets narrower and narrower. Customers are first directed downwards when they enter the website. Inside they find information that makes them aware of a need. This is followed up with a proposal that meets the need, and finally a choice to make use of the proposed solution.
This is obviously very simplified and not very nuanced, but hopefully you have had it hammered into your brain what CRO is all about, and how to go about increasing the conversion rate.

What is considered a good conversion rate?
One last thing to note, which is repeated no aqb directory matter what kind of website you run: Quality is the key to success. When the quality is higher, more people will click! Also when it comes to CRO, and One-Inch Punch!
Therefore, CRO and quality are closely linked. The guys from SEO blog talk in more detail about Google’s view of quality in a blog post that is relevant. Then you will get a good introduction to laying the foundations needed for your CRO to be as optimal as possible.
Soon you will be as nimble on your feet as I am. When I first strike, I can promise you will feel it. Haaaiii-YES!!!
What is best? Wix or WordPress? The simple answer is that WordPress is still considered the standard platform for serious businesses on the Internet. Wix is more user-friendly, but does not have the same possibilities for development and customization as WordPress. If you are a small business with few resources and a limited need for functionality, the answer to the question will probably be: “Yes, Wix is the best”.
Choosing a CMS (content management system) for your business is complicated. There are an incredible number of factors to take into account. To find out which platform is best, we need to consider the following differences between the web builder Wix vs. the somewhat more recognized WordPress: Design options; business development; cost requirements and competence requirements.
Tabell: Wix VS WordPress
Website building platforms are like the Dojo (training room) of choice for martial artists. Throwing a beginner into WordPress is like putting a five-year-old behind the controls of a Boeing 777. The learning curve will undoubtedly be steep and the risk of a crash is high at first. Over time, the WordPress Dojo will equip you to manage your website like a god. But god status always comes at a price, and that price is hard work over a long period of time.
As a business owner, you need to ask yourself two things to map out what will work best for your business; Wix vs WordPress. What design and functionality do you need to cover the website’s purpose, and how much resources do you want to spend on it?
Wix is more than good enough to cover most needs, and simple enough that anyone can do it. WordPress gives total freedom of design, but is so technical that beginners often have to hire help. One solution to that problem is to get a simple and clear WordPress theme that you stick with.
Wix or WordPress – Which is better for visibility and sales?
The Wix dojo makes it easier for any newbie to get ahead in the e-commerce ring. But be aware that this is an underdog dojo. This means that Wix gives your online business the opportunity to take you to the top of Google, but the road to ranking is not as well mapped out as with WordPress. In recent years, Wix has offered more and more solutions for small businesses that have proven to both sell and rank with the search engines. Regardless, the most important thing is that your website has high-quality content. The content must therefore fit as well as my best one-inch punches. Here you can see how Google defines quality. BruSEO Lee has been in the shoes of both underdogs and SEO gods. Everything has its time, and only you can weigh the advantages and disadvantages against your specific objective. So get started: Hijah!
